Granite is composed of mostly quartz and feldspar. The colors of granite are produced by the inclusion of different minerals in varying combinations. As this is a random process, variations in hue and pattern can occur even in the same granite deposit. This should be kept in mind when selecting your color. Granite is broken down into 3 levels based on how common they are and has nothing to do with quality:

• Level 1 is the most commonly occurring colors and therefore are the least expensive.

• Level 2 is less common and has mid-range pricing.

• Level 3 is the rarest and considered premium granite and has the price to match.
